At ISNation, one belief guides everything we do: every athlete deserves to feel seen.

That belief shapes our mission to break the silence in sports by making mental fitness part of everyday life. It drives the way we build relationships, share stories, and create support systems that remind athletes they are never alone.

That is why we are proud to welcome Arman Taghizadeh M.D.(known as ‘Dr. T’) to ISNation as both a coach and a member of our medical advisory board.

About Dr. T

Dr. T brings a rare combination of clinical expertise, athletic achievement, and deep care for the people behind performance. As a sports psychiatrist and founder of Mindset Training Institute®, his work is centered on helping athletes strengthen their mindset, manage pressure, and grow with confidence, awareness, and resilience.

He is a Johns Hopkins-trained, board-certified adult, child, and adolescent psychiatrist who is also board certified in sports and performance psychiatry. Before building his career in medicine and coaching, he was a wrestling All-American at Gilman School and later competed as an NCAA Division I wrestler at James Madison University. During his time there, he earned a varsity letter every year and graduated magna cum laude. Since then, he has continued to train and compete in a variety of physical and ultra-endurance events.

That background gives him an important perspective. He understands athletes both as a lifelong competitor who has lived the pressure demands of sports, and as a physician who has helped athletes, students, and families navigate the mental side of performance and daily life.

Alongside his independent practice, he serves as a faculty instructor at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He has also worked closely with athletes, coaches, teams, and parents to support mindset development, confidence, emotional wellness, and long-term growth.

Why This Matters

Athletes today are carrying more than practices, games, and expectations.

Many are also dealing with identity pressure, fear of failure, emotional stress, and silent struggles that often go unnoticed. ISNation was built to face that reality. We are here for the athlete behind the scoreboard: the person trying to stay focused, stay strong, and keep moving forward even when life feels heavy.

Our platform exists to help athletes build daily habits of growth through authentic stories, expert guidance, and meaningful connection.

That is why Dr. T is such a strong fit for this mission.

He understands that mental fitness is not only about reacting when something feels wrong. It is about building tools, habits, and techniques that help athletes handle the everyday moments that shape who they become in and out of their sport. Confidence does not appear overnight. It grows through consistent action, honest reflection, and the right support.

What Dr. T Brings to ISNation

Dr. T will help strengthen ISNation in two meaningful ways.

First, as a member of our medical advisory board, he will provide insight that helps us continue building a thoughtful, responsible, and athlete-centered platform. His perspective as a medical professional will help ensure that the guidance and support inside our ecosystem remain grounded, practical, and trustworthy.

Second, as a coach, he will be another trusted voice for athletes who are learning how to work through pressure, build confidence, and stay connected to who they are beyond performance.

About Mindset Training Institute®

Mindset Training Institute®, founded by Dr. T in 2019, was created to help competitive athletes and teams improve performance by addressing the emotional and mental barriers that too often get overlooked.

Its work focuses on areas that matter deeply in sports and life, including performance anxiety, injury recovery, confidence, resilience, mental skills training, and competitive mindset development. It also helps athletes build a stronger sense of fulfillment during and after their playing careers.

Mindset is not just about getting hyped up before a big moment. It is about learning how to respond to setbacks, handle pressure, understand yourself, and keep growing over time.

Beyond MTI, Dr. T is also the host of The Mindset Experience® podcast and a TEDx speaker (1M+ views), continuing to expand conversations around mindset, performance, and athlete well-being.

What This Means for the ISNation Community

This collaboration is for the athletes and families we serve.

It is for the athlete who feels locked in and confident. It is also for the athlete who feels overwhelmed, discouraged, or unsure of where to turn. It is for the moments when performance is going well, and for the moments when identity, pressure, and emotion feel harder to manage.

At ISNation, we want athletes to know that their worth goes far beyond how they perform.

With Dr. T joining our team, we are continuing to build a space where athletes can grow as competitors and as people. A space where support is real, conversations are honest, and mental fitness becomes part of everyday development..

Together, we break the silence.
Together, we help athletes grow stronger.
Together, we keep showing up.
