Boyd Melson is a retired professional boxer, U.S. Army Reserve Lieutenant Colonel, and advocate for spinal cord injury research whose career centers on service and leadership. A West Point graduate and Iraq War veteran, he won the WBC U.S. Junior Middleweight Championship and donated 100% of his professional boxing earnings to fund spinal cord injury research, later addressing Congress on the issue. A world-class athlete and Olympic alternate, Boyd has also used boxing to promote unity internationally. He holds advanced degrees from Harvard and USC, continues to serve in the Army Reserve, and today works as a Certified Emotional Intelligence Life Coach, helping others build resilience, accountability, and purpose.
