Will Wears

Will Wears returned to the Loyola University Maryland Greyhounds’ golf program—this time as assistant coach—after a stellar playing career for his alma mater. He has served as an assistant coach since 2017. As a student-athlete at Loyola, Wears was a four-year contributor who graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications (concentrations in public relations and marketing). In his senior year he earned All-Patriot League First Team honours and helped his team to their third conference title in four years, finishing fourth at the Patriot League Championships. In his coaching role, Wears leverages his firsthand experience as a player familiar with the program’s culture, combining recruiting insight, player development and support of the head coach’s strategic goals. Outside of Loyola, he has worked as a collegiate player-development representative for Mizuno, broadening his network and expertise in equipment, performance and mentoring.
