Willie Bloomquist serves as Head Coach for Arizona State Baseball. A former Sun Devil standout and longtime Arizona baseball figure, Bloomquist was appointed head coach on June 11, 2021. His ASU teams have increased or maintained their overall win total in each of his first four seasons, capped by a 36-24 finish and NCAA Los Angeles Regional appearance in 2025.
Bloomquist's background includes All-America honors as an ASU player in 1998 and 1999, 1999 Pac-10 Player of the Year recognition and a third-round selection by the Seattle Mariners in the 1999 MLB Draft. His ASU tenure has also produced 27 MLB Draft picks over four seasons, multiple All-Americans and a 2025 team that ranked among the national top 15 in batting average, strikeouts per nine innings and fielding percentage.
