Walker Hennon
Assistant Coach
Walker Hennon is entering his first season as an assistant baseball coach with the Florida Institute of Technology Panthers for the 2026 season, where he focuses on hitting instruction and defensive coordination while supporting the overall daily operations of the program. Prior to Florida Tech, Hennon spent the 2024 and 2025 seasons on the coaching staff at Flagler College, working with hitters and infielders and serving as the first base coach. During his time at Flagler, he played an integral role in helping the team achieve one of its best offensive seasons in nearly a decade and contributed to reaching the program’s highest team fielding percentage since 2018, with one of his infielders being recognized as a finalist for the Division II Gold Glove Award.
Before transitioning into coaching, Hennon was a collegiate infielder at Lincoln Memorial University from 2017 to 2023, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Rehabilitation Science in 2021 and an MBA in Sports Management in 2023, along with multiple Dean’s List honors and an Academic All-American distinction in 2020. Outside of college baseball, he served as head coach of the Rochester Ridgemen of the NYCBL in the summer of 2025 and works with youth players throughout the Southeast. Hennon comes from a strong baseball lineage, as his father, Rodney Hennon, has been a long-time head coach at the Division I level.
