Tyler Stinn begins his first season at Central Washington University in 2026 as the Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers Coach, bringing a strong track record of defensive leadership and player development. Prior to joining CWU, he served as defensive coordinator at Southern Oregon for three seasons, where he helped guide the Raiders to a 17–14 overall record and developed numerous standout players. Under his leadership, 20 players earned All-Frontier Conference honors, including a conference Defensive Player of the Year and an NAIA All-American. His defenses consistently emphasized aggressive play and recognition, contributing to both individual accolades and team competitiveness.
Before his time at Southern Oregon, Stinn spent seven seasons at Marian University, his alma mater, where he steadily advanced through multiple coaching roles. He worked with outside linebackers, defensive line, and safeties before being promoted to defensive coordinator in 2021. During his tenure leading the defense, Marian ranked among the top NAIA programs in key categories such as sacks and total defense, including leading the nation with 47 sacks in one season. He helped guide the program to consecutive playoff appearances and an 18–5 record as coordinator. A former player at Marian, Stinn was a two-year starting safety and part of a national championship team in 2012. Known for his ability to develop talent and build disciplined defensive units, he brings valuable experience and energy to the Wildcats’ coaching staff.
