Tyler Schnaible
Assistant Coach
Tyler Schnaible joined the University of South Florida volleyball coaching staff as an assistant coach, bringing a blend of recruiting expertise, player development experience, and a strong foundation in both collegiate and club coaching. Most recently, Schnaible served as a volunteer assistant coach at James Madison University (JMU), where he supported daily practice planning, opponent scouting and film breakdown, and recruiting efforts. During the 2024 season, JMU advanced to the Sun Belt Conference playoffs, and two players earned All-Conference honors under his tutelage.
Prior to his time at JMU, Schnaible made significant contributions at Nichols College as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for both the men’s and women’s volleyball programs. He helped transform two programs into competitive forces: the men’s team captured the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) championship in 2023 with a 22–8 record and earned an AVCA National ranking of No. 15 in school history. Under his leadership, three players earned AVCA All-Region honors, and several athletes achieved All-Conference recognition. On the women’s side, Schnaible’s recruiting vision helped assemble a deep and competitive roster that reached the postseason for the first time in school history.
Schnaible began his coaching journey in 2017 at Shenendehowa High School, assisting his former high school coach and helping the boys’ volleyball program win multiple sectional and regional championships, including a New York State Championship in 2022. He also coached with Capital Sliders Volleyball Club, developing players across a range of ages and helping grow the sport at the grassroots level. In addition, he has worked with Gold Medal Squared clinics and various volleyball camps and showcases.
As a player, Schnaible competed at both Sage College and Adrian College as a middle and right-side hitter, gaining valuable competitive experience that now informs his coaching approach. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership, underscoring his commitment to athlete development, culture building, and leadership within the sport.
