Tyler Moody
Head Coach/Quarterbacks
Tyler Moody was named the 14th head coach of the The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) football program in March 2025, ushering in a new era of competitiveness for the Lions. In his inaugural season at the helm, Moody led the Lions to a 6-4 record, highlighted by a 6-1 start — TCNJ’s best opening since 2007 — and guiding ten players to All-NJAC honors. His leadership helped secure back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 2004, setting a strong foundation for future success. Moody’s offensive acumen and ability to develop talent were immediately evident as his team produced high production throughout the season.
Before joining TCNJ, Moody spent 14 impactful years at Stonehill College where he served in a variety of coaching roles, including nine seasons as offensive coordinator and four as associate head coach. During his tenure, he built some of the Northeast-10’s most consistent offensive lines and oversaw units that ranked among the nation’s best in multiple categories, even as Stonehill transitioned into Division I competition. Moody has coached more than three dozen all-conference players and his offenses regularly posted top-tier rushing and scoring numbers. His coaching journey also includes experience at the University of Massachusetts as assistant offensive line coach and at Amherst College as a defensive assistant. Moody is a 2008 graduate of Centre College, where he was a four-year starter, team captain, and multiple all-conference honoree, laying the groundwork for a career defined by leadership, development, and a deep commitment to student-athlete success.
