Ty Gatson is the Director of Advanced High School Scouting for Wake Forest football in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He joined the Demon Deacons staff ahead of the 2025 season after spending 2024 at Arkansas-Pine Bluff as tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator.
Before arriving at Wake Forest, Gatson worked two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers as a scouting assistant, supporting player acquisition and transactions, contributing to advanced game-plan scouting, and evaluating college and free agent prospects. He also spent the 2021 season at Minnesota, where he coordinated official and unofficial visits, managed recruiting social media and marketing efforts, and organized recruiting information for the football staff.
