Troy Moyer
Head Men's Lacrosse Coach
Troy Moyer begins his third season as the head men’s lacrosse coach at Colorado Mesa University in 2025, following his promotion in the fall of 2022. He originally joined the Maverick program in 2018 – 19 as an assistant coach, then served as interim head coach following the departure of his predecessor before being formally elevated. In his first two seasons as head coach, Moyer guided the Mavericks to a combined 29-6 record, including a 13-1 mark in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) play and a perfect 12-0 home record; his teams captured both the RMAC regular-season and tournament titles in each of those seasons.
Before his time at Colorado Mesa, Moyer served as an assistant coach at Muhlenberg College (Pennsylvania), where he worked in both coaching and strength & conditioning capacities. Moyer holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science (2015) from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut, where he played Division I men’s lacrosse. A native of Boyertown, Pennsylvania, he was a four-year varsity letterwinner and team captain in high school—the only player from his school to advance to Division I lacrosse at that time.
