Travis Wilson
Assistant Coach
Travis Wilson is a New Zealand native who has served as an assistant coach for the Florida State Seminoles softball program since the 2012 season, leading the team’s hitting, offense, and defensive strategies. Under his guidance, FSU has achieved tremendous offensive improvements, setting school records in batting average, home runs, runs scored, doubles, and RBIs. During his tenure, the Seminoles have claimed multiple ACC regular-season and tournament championships, reached numerous NCAA Super Regionals, and appeared in several Women’s College World Series, including winning the national championship in 2018. Before his coaching career, Wilson played professional baseball in the Atlanta Braves organization (1996–2004) and later represented New Zealand in men’s fastpitch softball, where he was recognized in New Zealand’s Softball Hall of Fame (inducted 2018). He also has served as a fielding coach and video analyst during his career and was inducted into the International Softball Congress Hall of Fame in 2022 for contributions in men’s fastpitch.
