Travis Ecke is the assistant wide receivers coach for the University of Massachusetts Amherst football program in Amherst, Massachusetts. He joined the UMass staff in February 2025 and works with the wide receivers while also assisting with offensive installation for newcomers, weekly scouting, game preparation, and official visits for prospective receivers and their families. In his first season with the Minutemen, he contributed to the development of Jacquon Gibson, a 2025 All-MAC Third Team selection.
Before arriving at UMass, Ecke spent two seasons at the University of New Haven. He coached wide receivers and also worked with special teams and outside linebackers as New Haven won consecutive Northeast-10 Conference championships and reached the NCAA Division II playoffs in 2023 and 2024. Elevated to wide receivers coach before the 2024 season, he handled install meetings, led individual position work, moved the offense to a digital Visio playbook, and recruited in Long Island and Connecticut. His receivers included All-American and Harlon Hill Trophy nominee Khalil Eason, along with other all-conference honorees.
