Tom Wilkens is the head coach of Fordham University's men's and women's swimming and diving programs in Bronx, New York, after being elevated from interim head coach following the 2023-24 season. He became the 12th full-time head coach in the history of a Fordham program that began in 1925.
In his first season leading the Rams on an interim basis, Fordham's women posted a third straight undefeated dual-meet season and placed third at the Atlantic 10 Championship, while the men went 8-1 in dual meets for the second consecutive year and finished sixth at the conference meet. Fordham swimmers and divers produced a series of notable individual results under Wilkens, including Ainhoa Martin's three event wins at the 2024 Atlantic 10 Championship, where she was named the meet's Most Outstanding Performer, and her qualification for the NCAA Championships, the program's first NCAA qualifier since 2012. Jessica Zebrowski also won an Atlantic 10 title, Fordham collected multiple all-conference honors, and the teams combined to set numerous school records.
