Tom Pisane
Graduate Assistant
Tom Pisane joined the University of South Florida men’s tennis coaching staff as a graduate assistant for the 2024–25 and 2025–26 seasons, transitioning seamlessly from student-athlete to coach within the Bulls program. A three-year letterwinner at USF, Pisane brings firsthand knowledge of the program’s culture, expectations, and competitive standards. His move into coaching reflects a natural progression for a student-athlete recognized not only for his on-court contributions but also for his academic commitment and leadership within the team environment.
Pisane competed for the Bulls from 2021 to 2024 after beginning his collegiate career at LSU. During his senior season at USF, he posted an 11–10 singles record while balancing a demanding academic workload, earning ITA Scholar-Athlete honors and selection to the CSC Academic All-District Team. His performance exemplified consistency, resilience, and professionalism, traits that now define his coaching approach. In the summer of 2024, Pisane was selected to participate in the ITA Rising Coaches Program, a nationally recognized initiative designed to prepare recent graduates for careers in collegiate tennis coaching. The opportunity further expanded his exposure to player development, recruiting, and program management at the Division I level. As a graduate assistant, Pisane supports the Bulls across daily training sessions, match preparation, and administrative responsibilities, while continuing his own academic and professional development. His experience as a former Bull, combined with emerging coaching credentials, positions him as a valuable resource for current student-athletes navigating both competitive tennis and academic success.
