Tom Farrell is a volunteer assistant coach for the St. John's University track and field and cross country programs in Queens, New York, a position he assumed in January 2000 after retiring from Xerox following a 31-year career.
One of the most accomplished athletes in school history, Farrell set a world record in the 880-yard race in 1965 and also established a world mark in the 600 meters. He won NCAA and IC4A titles twice in the 800 meters and became the first three-time recipient of the Haggerty Award as St. John's top athlete.
