Tina Velazquez Livingston
Assistant Coach
Tina Velazquez Livingston enters her third season as an assistant coach with the Florida Institute of Technology softball program after an accomplished collegiate playing career with the Panthers. A former standout pitcher, Velazquez posted a team-best 2.98 ERA and recorded 52 strikeouts over her playing tenure, demonstrating consistency and poise on the mound. In 2021, she earned All-Sunshine State Conference First Team honors and was named to the D2CCA All-South Region Second Team, recognizing her among the top pitchers at the NCAA Division II level. She was also an integral contributor to the 2019 squad that captured the program’s first SSC Championship, helping set the foundation for subsequent team success.
In her current role on the coaching staff, Velazquez works primarily with the Panthers’ pitching staff, bringing firsthand experience and technical expertise to the development of Florida Tech’s pitchers. Her transition from player to coach reflects her deep understanding of the game and her commitment to fostering competitive excellence and growth within the softball program. As a young coach with direct recent playing experience, she connects uniquely with student-athletes, blending tactical insight with practical mentorship. Velazquez’s contributions continue to support Florida Tech’s pursuit of success within the Sunshine State Conference and on the national stage.
