Tim Ebbecke
Head Coach
Tim Ebbecke was named head coach of the Jacksonville State women’s volleyball program, becoming the eighth head coach in program history. He returns to Jax State after serving as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Marshall, and previously held the same role with the Gamecocks during their transition into Conference USA in 2023. During his two-year stint as a Jax State assistant, the program doubled its win total from 2023 to 2024 and developed standout players, including Kayla Williams, who earned All-Conference USA honors. Ebbecke played a key role in recruiting impact student-athletes and strengthening the foundation of the program during a pivotal period of growth.
Ebbecke brings a diverse coaching background spanning multiple levels of collegiate volleyball. Prior to his time at Jacksonville State, he served as head men’s volleyball coach at Siena Heights, guiding the program to key conference victories and developing All-WHAC performers. His résumé also includes assistant coaching roles at Elon, The Citadel, Purdue, and Texas Tech. At The Citadel, he contributed to a Southern Conference championship and the program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance, while at Purdue he helped engineer a defensive turnaround that led to a Sweet 16 berth. A former student-athlete at the University of Mount Olive, Ebbecke was a multi-time conference champion and All-Conference selection. A native of Commack, New York, he holds a bachelor’s degree from Mount Olive and a master’s degree from Texas Tech University.
