Tim Doyle is the head volleyball coach at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, a position he resumed in 2023 after previously serving on the Rams' staff during one of the program's most successful eras.
Since returning to VCU, Doyle has led the Rams back into the upper tier of the Atlantic 10 Conference. His teams have compiled a 51-35 overall record and a 41-13 mark in league play, and the 2024 squad set a program record with 16 conference wins while closing the regular season with a 14-match winning streak. In 2025, VCU advanced to the Atlantic 10 Championship Match, highlighted by an upset of top-seeded Dayton. His winning percentage at VCU stands second in program history, and players under his direction have earned nine All-Atlantic 10 Conference honors, including first-team recognition for Julia Rienks and Jasmine Knight. Knight also received AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention in 2024. Off the court, VCU posted a 3.86 team GPA in the spring of 2025, the highest recorded by the program.
