Theadora “Theo” Kwas joined the University of Oregon women’s lacrosse staff as an assistant coach in September 2023, bringing international playing experience and offensive expertise to the Ducks. In her first two seasons, she has played a key role in Oregon’s resurgence, helping the program achieve its first winning season since 2017 and maintain strong home performances while transitioning into Big Ten competition. Kwas has been instrumental in developing offensive talent, including guiding standout players to record-setting performances and conference honors, while contributing to a balanced and competitive team identity.
Before arriving at Oregon, Kwas served as an assistant coach at William & Mary, where she helped the program reach one of its best seasons in school history. As a player, she was part of one of the most dominant eras in collegiate lacrosse at the University of Maryland, helping the Terrapins win three NCAA national championships and four Big Ten titles. A native of Melbourne, Australia, Kwas has also competed extensively on the international stage, representing Australia in multiple world competitions and earning All-World Team honors at the U19 level. Her global experience and championship pedigree continue to shape her impact as a coach and mentor for Oregon’s student-athletes.
