Taylor Gulley serves as Men's Cross Country and Track & Field Head Coach for University of Tulsa's Track and Field program in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Entering his 14th year for the Golden Hurricane, Taylor Gulley serves as the head coach for one of the nation’s top men’s cross-country teams, while also coaching the middle-distance and distance runners for the Golden Hurricane men’s track squad. In his tenure, the Tulsa men’s cross country team has won 12 conference championships, including two in Conference USA and 10 American Athletic Conference Championships, while reaching the NCAA Championship 11 times.
Gulley helped the men’s squad reach its 10th overall NCAA Championship and post the highest national finish in program history with a fifth-place performance in 2019. On the women’s side, the Tulsa harriers finished in the top six of the NCAA Cross Country Midwest Regional five times, most recently finishing in second place at the 2019 regionals. At the 2019 NCAA National Championships, the women earned a program-best finish of 25th place. Gulley has been instrumental to the success of the Golden Hurricane track & field squad as well, highlighted by Chris O’Hare’s NCAA record indoor mile time of 3:52.98 in 2013 to become Tulsa’s first track & field national champion.
