Tate Dean

Tate Dean serves as an assistant coach for the University of Alabama in Huntsville men’s soccer program, contributing to the Chargers’ efforts in the Gulf South Conference. As a member of head coach John Carrier’s staff, Dean assists with daily training sessions, match preparation, opponent scouting, and recruiting coordination. His role includes working closely with student-athletes to refine technical skills, improve tactical awareness, and maintain the high standards of performance expected within the program. Dean’s involvement supports both the competitive goals of the team and the academic success of its players. Dean brings a strong soccer background and a commitment to player development at the collegiate level. Through hands-on coaching and mentorship, he emphasizes discipline, teamwork, and accountability while helping players grow on and off the field. He collaborates closely with the coaching staff to build structured training plans and game strategies that align with UAH’s long-term program vision. Based in Huntsville, Alabama, Dean continues to play an important role in strengthening the culture and competitive consistency of the Chargers’ men’s soccer program.
