Tara Zollinger is the head coach of the University of Delaware field hockey program in Newark, Delaware, and began her first season leading the Blue Hens in 2025 after being hired in March of that year. She arrived at Delaware with a record of sustained success at the Division II level and took over a program with an established tradition in the sport.
Before joining Delaware, Zollinger spent eight seasons as head coach at Shippensburg from 2017 through 2024. Her teams won NCAA Division II national championships in 2017, 2018, and 2021, reached the national title game in 2022, and advanced to the semifinals in 2023 and 2024. A native of Jeannette, Pennsylvania, Zollinger built one of the most successful stretches in Shippensburg field hockey history before making the move to Delaware.
