Tanesha Sutton is an assistant coach for the University of Maine women's basketball program in Orono, Maine, joining the staff in July 2024 after earlier starring for the Black Bears as a player.
A guard at Maine after transferring from Duquesne and sitting out the 2015-16 season, Sutton earned all-conference honors in the America East twice and finished her career with 1,124 points and 268 assists in 98 games. She averaged 11.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists, reached the 1,000-point mark as a senior, and helped Maine win consecutive America East championships and NCAA tournament berths in 2017-18 and 2018-19.
