Tanequa Whitman
Assistant Coach
Tanequa Whitman rejoined the University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball program as an assistant coach prior to the 2021 season, returning to a program where she previously served in the same role during the 2016 and 2017 campaigns. During her earlier tenure on staff, Whitman helped guide the Chargers to a combined 39-27 record over two seasons. In 2016, she was part of a program recognized with the AVCA Diversity Award, reflecting her involvement in fostering inclusivity and excellence within the team environment. Her return to UAH brought valuable continuity and experience to the coaching staff under head coach Jon Moseley.
Whitman played collegiately at Shorter University from 2011 to 2014 under Moseley, earning NCCAA All-American honors during her career. A native of Huntsville, Alabama, she has strong ties to the local volleyball community and also coaches with the NASA Volleyball Club. Her experience as both a collegiate student-athlete and coach provides her with a well-rounded perspective in mentoring players. At UAH, Whitman contributes to player development, recruiting efforts, and overall program growth while helping uphold the Chargers’ competitive standards in the Gulf South Conference.
