Sydney Roberts
Assistant Women's Basketball Coach
Sydney Roberts (née Cleveland) begins her sixth season as an assistant women’s basketball coach at Flagler College in St. Augustine. She came to the program after serving as a graduate assistant at Georgia College during the 2018-19 season, where she focused on guard development and mentored student-athletes through the “Game Changers for Leadership” program. As a player at Georgia College, Roberts was a 5-foot-10 forward known for her three-point shooting — finishing fifth all-time at the school with 157 made threes, and tying for the fifth-most in a single season with 66 in 2018-19.
Academically, she earned her bachelor’s degree in mathematics with a teaching concentration in 2019 and completed a master’s in instructional technology in 2021. A native of Gainesville, Georgia, she married Kohl Roberts (formerly of Georgia College and Flagler College men’s basketball) on October 1, 2022. In her role at Flagler, Roberts supports player skill development, particularly among guards, assists with film and scouting, and contributes to leadership and character-building initiatives within the program. Her combination of high-level playing experience, strong academic background, and leadership training equips her to positively influence both on-court performance and off-court growth of student-athletes.
