Sunny Marchand has served as an assistant coach for George Washington gymnastics in Washington, D.C., since the fall 2024 semester. She joined GW after working at Bowling Green State University, where she most recently was associate head gymnastics coach and oversaw training on vault, uneven bars, and floor exercise while also serving as recruiting coordinator. She previously began her collegiate coaching career at Bowling Green in 2013 as an assistant coach, and her work with the vault and floor groups contributed to MAC vault titles for two gymnasts in 2014 and 2015.
Before returning to Bowling Green, Marchand spent two seasons as an assistant coach at the University of New Hampshire. The Wildcats reached NCAA regionals in 2018 and 2019, won the 2019 EAGL championship, and Marchand was named NCAA Northeast Regional Co-Assistant Coach of the Year.
