Steve Pogue is the associate head coach for the St. John's women's basketball program in Queens, New York, a position he assumed in May 2024.
Pogue joined St. John's after two seasons at Stony Brook, where he was elevated to associate head coach after his first year on staff. He helped the Seawolves post a 28-5 record in 2023-24, go 16-2 in conference play, and win the Coastal Athletic Association regular-season title in the program's second year in the league. Stony Brook also reached the second round of the WBIT and finished among the national leaders in winning percentage. Over his two seasons there, the team allowed 61.7 points per game, and in 2023-24 it ranked 33rd nationally in scoring defense while leading the conference in opponent field-goal percentage and 3-point percentage allowed.
