Steven Key
Assistant Coach
Steven Key, a veteran basketball coach with more than 20 years of experience, joined UCF women’s basketball as an assistant coach. He previously spent six years in Germany’s professional league with Eisbaeren Bremerhaven and Oliver Wurzburg, and also held roles in the WNBA, including head coach of the Chicago Sky and assistant coaching positions with the Connecticut Sun and Indiana Fever.
As a player, Key starred at Boston University, earning America East Player of the Year honors in 1990 before competing professionally in China and Europe. A native of Columbia, Maryland, he graduated with a degree in mass communications and public relations and has built a reputation for leadership and player development across both women’s and men’s basketball.
