Steve Klosterman is an assistant coach for the Hofstra volleyball program in Hempstead, New York, and 2026 marks his eighth season on the staff. During his time at Hofstra, the program has won 111 matches and reached at least 15 victories in each of the seven full seasons that were not shortened by COVID. In 2025, he was part of a staff that led Hofstra to 22 wins, the CAA regular-season championship, a trip to the conference title match, and four conference postseason honorees.
Before joining Hofstra, Klosterman coached at the club level with Chicago Bounce Volleyball Club and with Huntington Beach Volleyball Club, where he served as both a head coach and an assistant coach. At Huntington Beach, he worked with Josh Tuiniga and TJ DeFalco before both went on to earn AVCA Player of the Year honors and win national titles at Long Beach State. His first college coaching experience came as a volunteer assistant with the Loyola Chicago women's team and the UCLA men's team.
