At SEMO, he led the Redhawks to three consecutive OVC regular-season titles and an NCAA Regional appearance, while at Missouri he guided the Tigers to six winning seasons in seven years and developed multiple All-Americans and first-round MLB Draft selections. A former SEMO standout, Bieser played 13 professional seasons, reaching the Major Leagues with the New York Mets and Pittsburgh Pirates. He later transitioned into coaching, beginning at the high school level where he won two Missouri state championships.
