Steph Roan is the associate head coach for the University at Buffalo softball program in Buffalo, New York, entering her third season in that title and her fifth season on the staff in 2026 after joining the program in August 2021.
Roan was originally hired by head coach Mike Ruechel and remained on staff when Chelsea Plimpton took over the program in May 2025. As Buffalo's longest-tenured coach, she was part of a 24-win season in 2026, the program's highest total since 2014. That year, Bri Delaney and Nicole Allen earned first-team All-MAC honors, while Abbey Nagel and Reagan Terwilliger were named second-team All-MAC selections, giving Buffalo four all-conference honorees in a single season for the first time in program history. Allen also set a program single-season record with 80 hits and became the fourth player in school history to earn NFCA first-team All-Northeast Region recognition.
