Sophie Slemp

Sophie Slemp joins the University of Mary Washington softball program as an Assistant Coach with an emphasis on catching. She graduated from Faulkner University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, and during her time at Faulkner she was a four-year starter for the Eagles. Beginning her coaching career in 2016 with the West Florida Elite travel organization and later with Tennessee Fury, Slemp has developed a strong background in skill-development, communication, and multitasking—qualities she brings to her collegiate coaching role at UMW. She expresses enthusiasm for contributing to the program’s culture under Head Coach Hannah Qualls, and for helping guide student-athletes in both athletic and academic success.
