Sophia Ramos will enter her third season on the bench in 2026-27, after joining the staff as Player Development Coordinator ahead of the 2023-24 season, before being promoted to Assistant Coach in 2024-25. New in 2026-27, Ramos will take over responsibilities in leading the defense. 6 seed in the American Women's Basketball Championship in 2025-26, ahead of a sensational run that saw the squad won four games in five days to claim a tournament title, and punch UTSA's ticket to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2009 and the third time in program history.
