Sheehan Gotsch is an assistant coach for the University of Massachusetts Amherst women's rowing program in Amherst, Massachusetts, a position she has held since July 2022. At UMass, she coached the 2V4+ to consecutive Atlantic 10 titles in 2024 and 2025 after spending her first year building programming for walk-on athletes and coaching the 3V8+ in the spring. Her work with the Minutewomen also includes recruiting, coxswain development, support for the walk-on program, and broader athlete development.
Before joining UMass, Gotsch coached the 3V/4V and C4+ boats at Radcliffe and designed training plans for the novice team focused on fitness and technical improvement. She also spent two seasons at Endicott College with the co-ed rowing team, including 2020-21 as head coach, where she set practice schedules, established commitment and communication standards, and helped increase the roster from 18 to 26 student-athletes.
