Shaun Foster is the associate head coach for Hofstra men's soccer in Hempstead, New York, a position he assumed in January 2026 after serving eight seasons as an assistant coach through 2025. During his time on the staff, Hofstra won CAA championships in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, reached the conference final in 2018 and 2020, advanced to the semifinals in 2019 and 2025, and made five NCAA Tournament appearances, including trips to the third round in 2021 and 2025.
Foster is one of Hofstra's most accomplished former players. He earned coaches association third-team All-America honors in 2012, was selected all-region three times, won CAA Defensive Player of the Year three times, and was also named CAA Rookie of the Year. He was a finalist for the MAC Hermann Award and received an invitation to the MLS Combine. After finishing his playing career, he worked as an undergraduate assistant at Hofstra, joined Molloy as an assistant coach in June 2016, and has coached with Massapequa Soccer Club since August 2010, leading U16, U17, and U18 teams to multiple New York State championships. A native of Southport, England, Foster graduated from Hofstra in December 2014 with a degree in rhetoric.
