Shannon LeBeauf
Sr. Associate Head Coach
Shannon LeBeauf is a highly respected women’s basketball coach and recruiting strategist who joined the Rutgers Scarlet Knights as Senior Associate Head Coach for the 2025–26 season after a distinguished 14-year tenure at UCLA. At UCLA, LeBeauf was a cornerstone of the Bruins’ program, helping guide the team to 321 wins and nine NCAA Tournament appearances, including an Elite Eight run in 2018 and a Final Four berth in the 2024–25 season. Renowned for her recruiting acumen, she orchestrated 14 Top-25 recruiting classes over her career, including UCLA’s first-ever No. 1-ranked class in 2014–15 and a second No. 1 class in 2021–22, attracting elite prospects who went on to successful collegiate and professional careers. LeBeauf’s expertise in player development has also translated into tangible success on the court, mentoring numerous All-Conference players and future WNBA professionals. Her addition to Rutgers brings veteran vision and national recruiting pull to further elevate the Scarlet Knights’ women’s basketball program.
Before her landmark work at UCLA, LeBeauf spent five seasons on the coaching staff at Duke University, where she helped the Blue Devils reach the NCAA National Championship game in 2006 and secured multiple high-ranking recruiting classes. She also previously coached at USC and Iowa, contributing broadly to recruiting, scouting, player development, and academic support. A University of Iowa graduate with honors, LeBeauf was a four-year letterwinner with the Hawkeyes and helped lead the team to multiple Big Ten titles and NCAA Tournament appearances. Her deep experience across premier women’s basketball programs and her proven track record of building competitive teams make her one of the nation’s top assistant coaches, now bringing that leadership to Rutgers.
