Sergi Nus
Assistant Coach
Sergi Nus joined the UCLA Bruins men’s soccer program as an Assistant Coach on February 27, 2025. Prior to arriving in Westwood, he spent three seasons (2022–24) as an assistant coach at Oregon State University, where he helped guide the Beavers to three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, including the program’s first ever run to the College Cup in 2023. His recruiting drive, relational ability with athletes, and experience in player development were highlighted as key reasons for his hiring. He brings international playing experience, an analytical educational background, and a proven ability to elevate programs both on and off the field.
A native of Barcelona, Spain, Nus played collegiate soccer at the University of Virginia from 2016–17 (earning All-ACC and All-Region honors) before enrolling in a master’s program at Duke University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Media Studies from Virginia and a master’s degree from Duke. Aggregating his international perspective and experience in professional environments, Nus is tasked at UCLA with advancing player development, enhancing recruiting strategies, and contributing to tactical staffing under Head Coach Ryan Jorden.
