Sebek O'Jike Maat serves as Assistant Coach (Sprints/Hurdles/Relays) for University of Memphis's Track and Field/Cross Country (Room program in Memphis, Tennessee.
Sebek O’Jike Maat (Coach O) returned to his alma mater, the University of Memphis, in 2022 and currently serves as Assistant Coach for the men’s and women’s sprint, hurdle, and relay groups. Since his return, Maat’s athletes have established themselves among the best in program history, producing 10 school records, 13 NCAA East Preliminary qualifiers, and 18 conference medalists in just three seasons. Most recently, his groups set new standards in both men’s and women’s relays, highlighted by program records in the men’s 4x400m (3:06.02, 2025) and women’s 4x400m (3:32.27, 2025).
