Sean Clark is the head coach of the University of Massachusetts Amherst men's swimming and diving program in Amherst, Massachusetts. A 1993 UMass graduate, he was appointed to the position in the summer of 2020 and was entering his sixth season leading the program in 2025-26.
Clark returned to his alma mater after more than two decades in coaching, including eight years as a head coach. Before taking over the Minutemen, he rejoined the UMass staff as an assistant ahead of the 2017-18 season. He had previously spent eight seasons as head coach at Binghamton University, where he was a three-time America East Coach of the Year. During his time there, Binghamton athletes won 53 America East titles and earned 51 all-conference honors from 2006 to 2014. His teams also posted strong academic results, with 26 individuals receiving All-Academic recognition, five named America East Scholar-Athlete of the Year, and multiple squads earning CSCAA Scholar All-America team honors.
