Scott Waters is an assistant coach for Temple University men's rowing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and has been on the staff since fall 2014. A native of nearby Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, he joined Temple after three seasons at Bucknell, where he coached multiple medal-winning boats in the Freshman 4+, Varsity 4+, and Freshman 8+. His Bucknell tenure included an ACRA national title in the Freshman 4+ in 2013 and a Henley Royal Regatta berth for the Varsity 4+ in 2014.
At Temple, Waters has worked with the lightweight men while also overseeing rigging and equipment maintenance. Early in his tenure, he coached the men's Lightweight 4+ to a Dad Vail gold medal and an IRA Regatta bid in 2014. As an athlete, Waters rowed at Temple and competed for three years in the Varsity 8. He is also a three-time Club National Champion with Vesper Boat Club and earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology from Temple in 2011.
