Scott Sutton serves as Special Assistant to the Head Coach for Oklahoma State University's Men's Basketball program in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The son of legendary head coach Eddie Sutton helped lead Oklahoma State to consecutive NCAA tournaments as a player in the mid-90’s before becoming the all-time coaching wins leader at Oral Roberts. He's been an experienced hand on the Cowboy Basketball bench since 2017.
The 2025-26 season marks Sutton's ninth at OSU and second as Special Assistant to head coach Steve Lutz., At OSU, Sutton has been part of three 20-win seasons and seven postseason victories. The 2021 Cowboys reached the second round of the NCAA tournament and the 2018, 2023 and 2025 squads advanced to the NIT quarterfinals. In 18 seasons as the head coach at Oral Roberts (1999-2017), Sutton guided the Golden Eagles to a program record 328 career victories. His teams reached the postseason eight times, including three tournament bids.
