Scott Loiseau
Associate Head Coach
Scott Loiseau joined the Duke University baseball program ahead of the 2026 season as Associate Head Coach under newly-hired Head Coach Corey Muscara. In his role, Loiseau brings a wealth of leadership and winning-culture experience, having most recently been on staff at the University of Dayton and previously at Penn State. At Penn State, he helped guide the Nittany Lions to their first winning record since 2016.
For 14 seasons before his move to Penn State, Loiseau served as the head coach at Southern New Hampshire University (a Division II program), where he compiled a remarkable 480-209-2 (.696) record. He led the Penmen to 11 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, with eight regional finals and five trips to the Division II College World Series. His teams recorded seven 40-win seasons, including a 50-win mark in 2016, and he earned numerous region and conference Coach of the Year honors. At Duke, Loiseau will serve as a key member of the baseball staff, bringing his strong track record of program building and player development to complement Muscara’s pitching-focused expertise. Its hiring is part of a broader effort to elevate the Blue Devils’ baseball program within the ACC and nationally.
