Scott Hood serves as Assistant Coach for Oral Roberts University's Baseball program in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Scoot Hood joins the Oral Roberts University Baseball coaching staff in the fall of 2024 as an Assistant Coach, a native of Tulsa and a Union High School graduate (2002-2006), Hood brings over a decade of experience at both the collegiate and scouting levels. Hood began his collegiate at Allen County Community College (2006-2008) as an infielder and outfielder before transferring to South Dakota State University (2008-2010), where he continued to shine on the field, graduating in 2011.
His coaching journey started in 2010 when he became an assistant coach at South Dakota State University, focusing on hitters and outfielders. Hood furthered his career by serving as an assistant coach at the University of Kansas from 2012 to 2020, specializing in the same areas. He also spent a summer coaching in the prestigious Northwoods League as the hitting coach for the Lakeshore Chinooks in 2013. From 2020 to 2024, Hood stepped into a new role as the Oklahoma Scouting Director for Prep Baseball Report, where he honed his skills in talent evaluation and developed deep connections in the region.
