Scott Bintner
Assistant Men's and Women's Swim Coach
Scott Bintner is entering his second season (2025-26) as an assistant coach for the men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs at Stevens Institute of Technology. In addition to his coaching duties, he serves as the Assistant Director of Campus Recreation, where he leads the university’s aquatics operations and works closely with distance swimmers while helping manage pool facilities and recreational swimming programs.
Bintner joined Stevens in August 2024, bringing extensive experience as a swim instructor and coach dating back to 1997. Before his appointment at Stevens, he coached summer league and USA Swimming clubs in Kansas City and Springfield, Missouri, and in New York City, where he was Head of Teacher Training at Imagine Swimming. After relocating to New Jersey in 2017, he spent seven years managing private swim schools and developed strong expertise in aquatics instruction, pool operations, and certified safety training, including serving as a Certified Pool Operator, Lifeguard, and CPR Instructor. As a student-athlete, Bintner competed as a mid-distance freestyler for the Missouri State Bears from 1996 to 2000, earning All-Conference honors and captaining the team to a Missouri Valley Conference championship in his senior year.
