Scott Bieda
Assistant Coach
Scott Bieda is an assistant coach for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights men’s lacrosse program, where he serves as the offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator after joining the staff in July 2025. A Rutgers alumnus and one of the most accomplished players in program history, Bieda returned to Piscataway following nine seasons of collegiate coaching experience at Michigan and Lafayette. His coaching résumé includes three seasons at Michigan, where he helped engineer one of the most productive offensive stretches in program history. During his tenure, the Wolverines set single-season records for goals, assists, and points, won multiple Big Ten Tournament championships, and earned NCAA Tournament appearances. He also mentored multiple All-Big Ten and All-American selections, including the program’s all-time leaders in assists and points.
Prior to Michigan, Bieda spent six seasons on staff at Lafayette College, serving as offensive coordinator for the final four years and helping develop Patriot League award winners. As a player at Rutgers, Bieda was a dynamic attackman and a cornerstone of the program’s resurgence. He finished his career ranked among the program’s all-time leaders in assists and points and was named the 2016 Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year, the only Rutgers player to earn that distinction. A three-time all-conference selection and Third Team All-American in 2016, Bieda also excelled academically as a Scholar All-American and four-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree. A native of Bridgewater, New Jersey, he played professionally with the Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse before transitioning into coaching, bringing both elite playing experience and proven offensive acumen back to his alma mater.
