Sara Tisdale
Head Coach
Sara Tisdale is an experienced collegiate lacrosse coach who was announced on July 29, 2024 as Florida State’s inaugural head women’s lacrosse coach. Prior to joining FSU, she led the Eastern Michigan women’s lacrosse program (from 2022 onward) and before that was the founding head coach at Central Michigan University, where she built the program from scratch beginning in 2014. Over her 12+ years as a head coach, she has compiled a career record of 114-86, won multiple regular-season conference titles, and coached numerous all-conference and individual award winners. At Central Michigan, Tisdale guided the Chippewas to their first NCAA Tournament appearance and conference success, and previously she served as head coach at Augustana College (Illinois), where her teams posted a 51-8 record over three years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education (Central Michigan, 2006) and has emphasized both athletic and academic excellence in her programs, with her teams consistently receiving academic honors.
