Sarah Rainwater Jackson is an assistant coach for the University of Rhode Island softball program in Kingston, Rhode Island, joining the staff in August 2025. She arrived from Eastern Kentucky, where she served as an assistant coach and director of softball operations for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. During that span, the Colonels went 80-26, won the 2024 ASUN regular-season title, and captured the ASUN Gold Division in 2025. She also coached Jeaney Riley, who earned 2024 ASUN Player of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors.
A former captain at Kentucky, Jackson played in 178 games from 2016 to 2019 and helped the Wildcats earn four NCAA Championship appearances, including three Super Regional trips. She holds both a bachelor's degree in integrated strategic communication and a master's degree in kinesiology and health promotion from Kentucky.
