Sarah Bureau
Graduate Assistant
Sarah Bureau began her first season as a Graduate Assistant with the Jacksonville State women’s tennis program in Fall 2024. In her role, Bureau assists with practice planning, match preparation, recruiting support, and daily team operations while pursuing her master’s degree in Sport Management. She brings a strong competitive background and academic excellence to the Gamecocks, contributing firsthand experience from a successful collegiate playing career. Her understanding of high-level competition and team culture enhances her ability to mentor student-athletes both on and off the court.
Prior to joining Jacksonville State, Bureau competed for four seasons at Murray State University, where she consistently played in the top lineup and amassed 136 career wins. In her senior season, she helped lead the Racers to a perfect 10–0 conference record in the Missouri Valley Conference and played a key role in securing the program’s first MVC regular-season and tournament championships. Bureau earned numerous honors throughout her career, including Second Team All-Ohio Valley Conference recognition, MVC All-Conference accolades, and the Elite 17 Award. Academically, she was a four-time ITA Scholar-Athlete, earned MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team honors, and was recognized on multiple conference honor rolls. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Management from Murray State.
