Sam Ebersold is the Director of Player Development for George Washington men's basketball in Washington, D.C., a position he assumed in June 2024 after spending the 2023-24 season in a similar role at Southern Illinois, his alma mater. At George Washington, his responsibilities include player skill development as well as off-court work in game planning, scouting reports, and recruiting.
Before that appointment, Ebersold served two years as a graduate assistant at Southern Illinois. After graduating, he also worked with Phil Beckner's Driven Basketball operation in Phoenix, contributing to on-court instruction, training edits, and Pro Day workouts. He additionally led the support staff at Formula Zero Pro Camp and Elite Camp, Damian Lillard's week-long event featuring NBA, college, and high school players.
