Samantha Bohon
Head Coach
Samantha Bohon (pronounced Bo-hahn) is the head coach of the Florida Gators women’s soccer program, entering her fourth season in the fall of 2025. Prior to arriving at Florida, she spent 15 seasons leading Embry-Riddle’s women’s soccer program, overseeing its transition from NAIA to NCAA Division II, and collecting significant conference success and postseason appearances. A native of Florida, Bohon played at Duke University, was involved with the U.S. U-21 and Senior National Teams, and served as assistant coach at Tennessee (2001-05), contributing to Lady Vols’ SEC regular season and tournament titles.
In her time at Florida, Bohon has begun shaping the Gators toward building consistency in the SEC. In 2023, Florida opened the season with a strong unbeaten stretch and saw multiple players earn All-SEC honors. In 2024, she secured her first win over a top-25 opponent (vs. Texas). Her background of both coaching and administrative settings, and her experience at various levels (NAIA, NCAA Division II, SEC), contribute to her leadership in developing the student-athlete experience in Gainesville.
